Arron and Chanel
How We Met
The universe had been conspiring for a long time to bring us together before we actually met. In order to find my soul mate Arron, who had been hiding on the West Coast of Florida all this time, I had to leave New Jersey (which had been my home for 27 years), flee from a dead-end job and relationship, and start fresh in the sunshine state with absolutely no idea of what my future held. What brought us together was a mutual friend and a shared passion for photography. After collaborating on a photo shoot, the 3 of us had dinner, and it was over a plate of chicken wings that the sparks started flying. What began as a playful flirtation developed very quickly into a genuine attraction and passion for one another. After a few inseparable months together, we pieced together that we had been attending all of the same photography networking events for months before our first encounter without having met! One way or another, photography was bound to bring us together, but it is an undeniable connection and chemistry that keeps us together today.
How He Asked
Every woman dreams of a magical proposal, but I was not prepared for just how literally magical my engagement would be! Expecting simply a fun couple’s portrait session to celebrate our one year anniversary, what I got instead was the love of my life offering me the ring of my dreams in one of the most enchanting locations I could imagine.
Over the past year of our relationship, my fiancé Arron and I have been building our own wedding photography business in the Tampa Bay area. With Arron as the founder and lead shooter of McNeile Photography, I stepped in as a second shooter and business partner to give each of our couples a unique, intimate, and highly personalized engagement and wedding experience.
Together we have captured so many genuinely beautiful moments of happy couples celebrating engagement and marriage; to have the roles reversed on April 23, 2018 and be the radiant, happy couple in front of the camera was a surreal experience. Our dear and talented friend Deanna Everhardt of Dee’s Vintage Photography was the photographer that Arronchose to memorialize our magic moment, and her husband Justin stepped in as impromptu videographer to record the whole thing! Her images far exceeded my highest expectations, and we could not have asked for a better fit to capture our engagement day.
We are full of love, joy, and gratitude for everyone who has supported us throughout this journey: From family and friends who helped plan, down to the gracious staff of Harry Potter World who were more than accommodating of our circumstances! We cannot wait to continue this journey in life as husband and wife.
