Andrea and Jordan
How We Met
Jordan and I met at Arizona State University where we lived in the same apartment complex. It didn’t take long for us I start dating and our first date was at Cold Stone Creamery. After graduation we moved to Denver for a few years and eventually made our way back to my hometown in Newport Beach.
How He Asked
Jordan convinced me on a lazy Sunday to go out to the beach to enjoy the warm weather and play some bocce ball. Mid game he got down to “measure” the distance to see who was closer and next thing I knew there was a (gorgeous!) ring in his hand and he was asking me to marry him.
I was ecstatic and my heart was pounding. I was too excited to finish the game and wanted to rush home so we could go over to my parents and share the good news. When I unlocked the front door I heard “surprise” and was shocked to find my entire family and our best friends waiting for us!
He had arranged the whole thing with them! It was extremely emotional and I couldn’t be more grateful to be able to celebrate with them just moments after the proposal. The best part is we have it on video and I will always treasure that moment. I still cry when I watch it. We popped a lot of champagne and had a great night. The next day we flew to NY to celebrate with his entire family over Thanksgiving! Best week ever!
