Amanda and Dylan

How We Met

Back in 2012 my fiancé and I met in driver’s education classes. At first I couldn’t stand him. We definitely weren’t each other’s type but a few weeks in it started to change. Long story short we started dating that summer but we were young and stupid. We were on an off for a few years and it wasn’t crazy serious but when we decided it was I finally brought him around my family. The last five years having Dylan in my life have been nothing short of a rollercoaster. Regardless of what our label has been I can honestly say that we were always there for each other 110% no matter what. We’ve had many up and downs but it’s whats made us who we are today. We lived together for about 3 years and after almost a year in our own place he decided to propose.

How He Asked

I had been sick for weeks but still really wanted to go apple picking even though it was super early in the year. So I was really surprised when Dylan agreed. On our way there he was really quiet but we were still joking and laughing the whole drive. When we got there I did my usual routine of eating two apples and taking a gazillion pictures. I was also excited for Apple cider donuts at the end so I was confused when my entire Apple bag was full and Dylan wanted to keep on walking. But I went with it. We walked all the way to the end. We kissed and he told me how much he loved me. I went to blow my nose and he said he had to tie his shoe. When I turned back around he was on one knee and asked if I would marry him. I was so happy and immediately said yes and kissed him!
