How We Met

We met through a sort of blind date, my aunt met him first and then demanded that I need to meet him/marry him, HA! After a few days of her never dropping the subject, Carter and I finally were set up. A few weeks later, we went to a Halloween party, where he asked me to be his girlfriend. We dressed up as Carl and his house from the Disney Pixar movie, UP. One year later, Carter gave me a handmade adventure book for our anniversary, full of pictures and memories. Just like Carl and Ellie’s. Three years later he dressed up, held dozens of balloons, and got down on one knee.

How He Asked

November 5th 2017, it was dapper day at Disneyland. One of my favorite days of the year. My girlfriends and I were having a normal Disney day till I was sitting on a bench eating ice cream, they took it away, handed me an IPad and stuck earphones on my head. They pressed play. It was a twelve minute video of my family and friends pouring out love for me and Carter. When the video ended. My girls walked me out of the park, where Carter was waiting there all dressed up, standing by dozens of colorful balloons and all our friends. He got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.

And of course I said YES❤️ My ring was in a custom made mailbox with our names on it. I found out later he had been planning this for almost a year, which is very Carter, such a planner. Everyone had been in on it for months. Hands down best day of my life!
