Alora and Ted's Sweet Surprise Proposal Song
My birthday is February 8. On February 7, 2015, my best friend took me to Wilder Ranch in Santa Cruz where she dropped me off for a surprise “Birthday picnic” with Ted. It was lightly raining so he set up the picnic in an old abandoned ranch house. He had a blanket spread and wine and cheese. It was very romantic and I was certain we were alone when suddenly he pulled out his guitar. As he began to play a beautiful song that he had written for me, his band began to come out with their instruments from the back room. They gathered around, and joined in the song and at the climax of the song he asked me to marry him! Of course I said “Yes!” It was the happiest day of my life! On top of it all he was filming the whole thing and we now have an amazing, beautiful, music video of the moment we got engaged!
We met at work in June 2012. We both had the same group interview for the job. I remember thinking that he was overconfident and pretentious. Apparently he thought I was attractive and “had the most amazing legs he had ever seen” but he didn’t think I would get the job. When the first day rolled around we were both there, only he was walking around like he owned the place. It turned out he was already employed there and was only making a move within the company, hence the overconfidence. I still thought he was annoying but he kept managing to find ways to talk to me and make me feel special until after about two weeks I agreed to go on a date with him. He took me to pizza and then we had a bonfire on the beach. It was simple, but incredibly romantic and exactly my style. I knew I had a winner. We have been together almost every moment since.
