Is an All-Inclusive Resort Right for Your Honeymoon?

Over Labor Day, I took a trip to the beautiful Dominican Republic and stayed at an even-more-beautiful resort called Paradisus. It was my first all-inclusive experience (the next closest experience being a cruise, though daiquiris were certainly not included on board).

Under the sun, I came to the conclusion that all-inclusives are a fabulous idea for honeymoons for a few good reasons:

1. They’re literally stress-free

2. You don’t have to hand over your wallet at every turn

3. Everything you’d want to do on a honeymoon is within a minute’s walk

4. The service is impeccable (at least it was with royal service at Paradisus)

5. You feel like you’re in a different world, isolated from everything but bliss … EXAMPLE:

There are tons of all-inclusive resorts across the world – in Thailand, the Caribbean, Sedona, AZ, and more. We chose to head to the DR because it’s a short 4-hour flight from New York City. Stumbling upon Paradisus was icing on the cake.

The service as I mentioned was also spectacular and we had our own private butler who would schedule our activities, like tennis, snorkeling and dining (for some of the fancier restaurants you need to make a reservation!).

Knowing I could very well share my experience with all of you, they set up a few extra special treats that come in their honeymoon packages. We had a private dinner on the beach – oh-so romantic, candlelit and with some of the tastiest food I’ve ever had!

We also had couples massages on the gorgeous spa grounds, where you could hear the calming sound of the ocean in the distance! We spent our mornings on the tennis court, days on the beach and pool, and evenings relaxing on our balcony that overlooked the water. It was heaven and I highly recommend the all-inclusive resort for your honeymoons!
